Does the Internet scare you?

Most people look at the Internet like they do public speaking. They are afraid of it. The technology is overwhelming. The advances are constant and come at you from every direction.

Even if you are not scared, you may be confused and not even aware of what you need to succeed on the Internet. One thing is certain. You cannot ignore the Internet and you must have e-mail and a website at a minimum to properly and effectively communicate and market your business in today’s world.

Think of the Internet as another form of media, like newspapers, radio or television. The real differences are that the Internet is faster, cheaper, always available, and very personal.

How to Join the Social Revolution.

In a recent, national survey of over 1,800 public relations professionals conducted by Vocus, a public relations support company, 82 percent said social media would be dominating their businesses and their clients’ marketing efforts in 2010.

Users of LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and others number in the hundreds of millions and audiences are growing every day. Although many large companies actively tap into this massive pool daily to capture more sales, a majority of small businesses view social media as a scary, overwhelming proposition. Click on title to read more.

It’s not just what you say, but how you say it!

Your online success is predicated upon a number of factors: search term optimization, site design, ease of navigation, and, importantly, content. In fact, content is the heart and soul of your website. The information you present is what your readers look for and how search engines rank your site. Well-written content is key to your success, especially, your conversion rate. Click here to read more

Conversion Vs Position - Which one do you prefer?

In real estate, we are told that “location” is of paramount importance. In the virtual world of the Internet, many people believe value is created by the “position” your site claims on the web. Are you positioned first or last in a web directory? Do you come up on the first or second page when someone uses a search engine such as Google? Everyone wants to receive the most “hits,” but is that all there is? Click here to read more

Internet marketing! Go local and save!

Advertisement. It is always hard to know if your message gets to your potential customers or if it is wasted on an audience that will not even consider your product or service due to your location.
No Identity! A Solution to Identity Theft.

The best way to avoid identity theft is not to have an identity or assume someone else’s identity. In the first case, there is nothing to steal and in the other case it is not yours to begin with. This could be a solution for an individual, but what about a business? Can it survive without identity and branding? Can it allow itself to be transparent or obscure? Of course not! But this is still what many companies are doing when it comes to the Internet. Click here to read more
